Ontonagon Record Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, order a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly.

Local Jail and Court Contacts

The Sheriff is the first contact for present county-jail custody, the last local disposition, or a written booking and release record. Published public-counter hours and a Sheriff FOIA email were not found, so call before visiting or mailing a time-sensitive request.

Ontonagon County Sheriff Department
620 Conglomerate
Ontonagon, MI 49953
906-884-4901
Counter hours: not published; call first.

Court records can explain the legal event behind a release. The 98th District Court, reached at 906-884-2865, handles misdemeanors and early felony proceedings. The 32nd Circuit Court and County Clerk use 906-884-4255 for felony adjudication and sentencing records. Both county pages place the offices on the courthouse second floor. Court files are requested from the clerk under judicial access rules, not Michigan FOIA.

Michigan Release and Supervision Contacts

State-prison parole, discharge, and felony supervision belong to MDOC. Search OTIS first, then use the relevant office for a record or a correction.
